John 14:27 (KJV) — “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Let’s be honest. The world is in a state of unrest. From the halls of government to the pulpits of our churches, from the classrooms to the kitchen tables, there is a shaking, a stirring of uncertainty, division, and fatigue. But in the midst of this turbulence, Jesus speaks a timeless truth: “Peace I leave with you.”

This is not a fleeting calm or a temporary escape. It is His peace, divine, enduring, and untouched by worldly chaos. It is the same peace that allowed Him to sleep in the storm, to speak with authority in the face of opposition, and to walk in love even when surrounded by betrayal.
His peace is a gift. It is not earned. It is not manufactured. It is given. And because it is given, we must receive it. We must make room for it, not just in our theology, but in our daily lives. That means choosing tranquility over turmoil, stillness over striving, and trust over fear.
To explore tranquility is to honor the gift. When we pause to breathe, to reflect, to smile, to rest, we are not being idle. We are being obedient. We are allowing the peace of Christ to rule in our hearts (Colossians 3:15), to guard our minds (Philippians 4:7), and to shape our responses in a world that desperately needs the fragrance of heaven.
So today, let us not be troubled. Let us not be afraid. Let us walk in the peace that was purchased for us, promised to us, and placed within us. There is room in your life for tranquility, because Jesus made space for it when He said, “My peace I give unto you.”
Peace Scriptures to Declare This Week
John 14:27 (KJV) “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” ➤ Jesus gave you His peace—receive it, declare it, and let it rule your heart.
Isaiah 26:3 (KJV) “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” ➤ Keep your thoughts anchored in God, and watch perfect peace surround you.
Philippians 4:6–7 (KJV) “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” ➤ Prayer unlocks peace. Thanksgiving sustains it. Let God guard your heart.
Colossians 3:15 (KJV) “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” ➤ You have the authority to let peace rule. Choose it daily.
Psalm 29:11 (KJV) “The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.” ➤ Peace is not just a feeling—it’s a blessing. And it comes with strength.
Speak these aloud each day this week. Let them echo in your home, your car, your prayer closet. As you do, expect the peace of God to:
a. Calm your emotions
b. Silence anxiety
c. Bring clarity to confusion
d. And restore joy to your soul
Peace is your portion. Receive it. Declare it. Walk in it.
