WE SHALL OVERCOME - IN PINK

When life feels like a battle, when the diagnosis hits like a thunderclap and the ground beneath you trembles, remember this: God has not abandoned you. He is right here, closer than your breath, stronger than your fear.

I know the nights feel long. I know the silence can be deafening. But you are not walking this road alone. You are surrounded, wrapped in a blanket of love that stretches from heaven to earth. You are held by warriors in pink, brave souls who’ve walked this path and now stand beside you, cheering you on with every heartbeat.

You are cradled in the healing hands of physicians and nurses, men and women who have devoted their lives to restoring others. Their knowledge is a gift from God. Their care is an extension of His mercy. Every test, every treatment, every moment in that clinic is not just a medical step, it is a divine appointment.

And you are equipped. Not just with medicine, but with faith that moves mountains, with grace that steadies trembling hands, and with strength that defies statistics. You carry within you the power to overcome, because the One who made you is mighty to save.

So when the battle rages, lift your eyes. When the tears fall, let them water your hope. And when your heart feels faint, lean into mine, and into His. We are fighting this together. And we will win.

I'VE DONE SOME RESEARCH BEFORE PREPARING THIS ONLINE CONVERSATION:

In 2025, cancer remains one of the leading causes of death globally.

The Global Cancer Observatory reports rising incidence rates, with over 20 million new cases expected worldwide by 2025.

In the U.S. alone, more than 2 million new cancer cases are projected for 2025.

Breast Cancer in Women and Men: 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.

In 2025, an estimated 316,950 women and 2,800 men will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer.

An additional 59,080 cases of non-invasive breast cancer (DCIS) will be diagnosed.

There are currently over 4 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S..

When detected early, the 5-year survival rate is 99%. So, it won't hurt, get checked out during your next medical appointment.

It is written: Isaiah 41:10 – "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

It is written: Romans 8:37 – "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."

It is written, Psalm 147:3 – "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

I have had some days that were so filled with issues that while in the valley, praise Him. Praise is your weapon. Worship lifts your spirit and invites healing. Sing songs of hope. Declare victory before it arrives.

The Power of Medicine and Faith can transform any situation. God works through physicians, treatments, and science. Trust your medical team. Take your medications. Attend your appointments. Faith and medicine are not enemies, they are partners in your healing.

I offer these brief words of prayer for you: Heavenly Father, we lift up every soul battling breast cancer. We ask for Your healing touch, Your peace that surpasses understanding, and Your strength to endure. Bless the doctors, nurses, and caregivers. Let Your presence be felt in every hospital room, every chemo chair, and every quiet moment of fear. We declare healing, restoration, and victory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I along with the members of the North Carolina Diocese and people areound the globe, wear pink not just as a color, but as a banner of hope. You are not fighting alone. We fight with you. We believe in your healing. We celebrate your courage. And we declare: You will overcome.

If you'd like, I can help you write a personalized prayer, a letter to someone battling breast cancer, or even a poem of encouragement. Just say the word.

*** YOU ARE NOT ALONE ***

When the night feels long and the light grows dim, When strength seems lost and hope feels thin, Lift your eyes, my child, and see— The God who made you walks with thee.

The diagnosis came like a stormy tide, But you are not alone, I’m by your side. With every tear, with every prayer, Know that heaven’s love is always there.

You are more than this moment, more than this pain, A warrior in pink, dancing in the rain. Your heart still beats with courage and grace, And healing flows in every embrace.

Doctors may treat, and medicine may mend, But God is the healer, the truest friend. He whispers peace when fear takes hold, He wraps you warm when the nights are cold.

So praise Him still, even through the fight, Let worship rise like morning light. For in your weakness, His power is shown, And through this valley, you’re never alone.

You will overcome, you will rise again, With faith as your fire and love as your pen. Write your story, bold and true, Because my child, the world needs you.
