A Christian possesses some measure of authority that enables them to do what God wants them to do. This authority is a shared authority from the Lord Jesus because we as Christians are His commissioned representatives here on earth, acting as His mouth, hands and feet. Thus, we must learn to follow Him and exercise the authority He has given us to enable us to succeed in the task He has entrusted to us. Our authority is only effective for this noble and all-consuming task.

Are you unsure of the authorities and privileges that God has given you so that you can do what He wants you to do?

All Christians have authority as sons and daughters of God. We have:

1. The privilege of approaching God with confidence through Christ – Hebrews 4:14-16

2. The authority to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ – Matthew 28:19-20

3. The opportunity to preach the gospel accompanied with signs and wonders in Jesus' name – Mark 16:15-18

4. The joy of being Christ's ambassadors, to evangelize the Gospel of Jesus Christ through love – 2 Corinthians 5:18-21

5. Grace to win in the fight against the enemy – Ephesians 6:10-20

God has called the body of Christ to live a life filled with power and authority. It is written, “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19. Through Christ, our mission is to empower believers that they would become witnesses of the good tidings and great joys of from the Almighty God. We must build God's Kingdom by not only reaching our own culture, but to also reach across the cultural, racial, social, economic and denominational barriers in order to unify the Body of Christ. God is raising up a Mighty Army of Believers that are no longer bound by tradition nor held captive by their own insecurities and weaknesses. Rather they are empowered by the Holy Spirit to carry out God’s perfect will in the earth.
