What Does It Mean to Be a Leader Chosen by God?
To be a leader chosen by God is to carry a sacred assignment, one rooted not in personal ambition, but in purpose. A God‑chosen leader is called to serve with humility, to guide with wisdom, and to love with the heart of Christ. Their authority is not self‑made; it is entrusted by God for the strengthening, teaching, and nurturing of His people. Such leaders walk in obedience, stand with integrity, and labor faithfully even when the work is unseen. They are vessels through whom God pours encouragement, direction, and spiritual covering for the Body of Christ. “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding” (Jeremiah 3:15).
Honoring Our Pastors
Today, we celebrate four pastors of the North Carolina Diocese for their unwavering commitment to serving the Body of Christ. Their dedication, compassion, and steadfast leadership continue to bless our diocese and strengthen the people they shepherd. During Black History Month and beyond, we say thank you for your labor, your prayers, and your faithfulness to the call of God. May the Lord continue to uphold you, enlarge your territory, and prosper every work of ministry placed in your hands. “Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine” (1 Timothy 5:17).
Many blessings upon each of you and the ministry work you carry forward with excellence and grace.
