WE BRING YOU GREAT TIDINGS AND GREAT JOY

WILMINGTON, N.C. — The House of God Church, Inc. – Wilmington, N.C. location welcomed families from across the region for a vibrant holiday outreach event that brought joy, support, and celebration to the community. With well over 200 attendees, the gathering featured bike prize giveaways, a prayer request station, a gingerbread house, making contest, shopping opportunities, food, Christmas music, arts and crafts, games, and more. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, gratitude, and the spirit of giving as children and adults enjoyed a day centered on hope and togetherness.

Tr. Elder Latasha Myers, who serves as the Wilmington, NC, Event Coordinator and State Youth Coordinator, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the turnout and the impact, capturing the sentiment of the day with her declaration: “God did it.” Many sponsors and generous donations helped make the outreach a true gift to all who participated, further strengthening the bond between the church and the surrounding community.

At the heart of the celebration was the message of love demonstrated through Christ’s birth, reminding attendees of the purpose and meaning behind the season. The blessings shared throughout the event reflected the church’s ongoing commitment to sharing the love of Christ, at all cost.

Reverend James Lee, serves as Pastor of the local church and Assistant Pastor is Tr. Elder Priscilla McCollum, and Tr. Elder Latasha Myers continues to serves as local ministry, Indeed, by the smiles on the faces of the attendees, it is clear to say that this commitment reflected the Diocese’s commitment to service and compassion, echoing the mission articulated by Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Charlene M. Jamison: “Building a stronger community through love & kindness.”
