UNLAWFUL ACTIVITY

The enemy’s activity is always unlawful, and Jesus exposes his agenda without hesitation: “THE THIEF COMETH NOT, BUT FOR TO STEAL, AND TO KILL, AND TO DESTROY: I AM COME THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE LIFE, AND THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY.” (JOHN 10:10). The enemy never enters openly; he slips in subtly, quietly, and deceptively. He studies the believer the way a criminal studies a neighborhood, looking for unguarded places, weakened moments, or spiritual cracks. But the Word reveals his intentions so that the people of God are never caught unaware. His mission is destruction, but Christ’s mission is abundant life.
This infiltration is often cunning, like an intruder who tests doors in the night. Scripture warns us clearly: “BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT; BECAUSE YOUR ADVERSARY THE DEVIL, AS A ROARING LION, WALKETH ABOUT, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR.” (1 PETER 5:8). Imagine a thief walking through a neighborhood, checking which homes are locked and which are left open. One house is lit, secured, and fortified; another is dark and unprotected. The thief always chooses the unguarded place. In the same way, the enemy looks for spiritual doors left open, fear, discouragement, compromise, or isolation. But the believer who stays alert becomes a fortified house the enemy cannot enter.
Yet even when the enemy attempts to infiltrate, the believer is not powerless. The Word commands: “NEITHER GIVE PLACE TO THE DEVIL.” (EPHESIANS 4:27). His activity is illegal, but he thrives where believers unknowingly surrender territory. God has equipped His people with spiritual authority, discernment, and strength. You are not a victim of the enemy’s schemes; you are empowered to shut down every unlawful attempt. When you stand in your God‑given authority, the enemy’s strategies collapse. Heaven has armed you with the Word, prayer, and the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit.
Victory becomes visible when the believer stands firm in alignment with God. How do we become alert, we stay in the word of God and move, only as He instructs, not as our feelings and emotions. Is it not written, “SUBMIT YOURSELVES THEREFORE TO GOD. RESIST THE DEVIL, AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU.” (JAMES 4:7). Submission positions you in strength; resistance forces the enemy to retreat. When you guard your mind, saturate your atmosphere with scripture, and remain anchored in prayer, you become spiritually fortified. Every infiltration is exposed. Every unlawful activity is shut down. You stand covered, empowered, and backed by the God who never loses a battle. The enemy may come to steal, kill, and destroy, but he cannot prevail against a believer who stands their ground in the power of God.
Unlawful activity is the enemy’s specialty. He comes to destroy your peace, blindside your joy, and even attempt to sabotage the fundamentals of your daily life and spiritual stability. Jesus warned us plainly: “THE THIEF COMETH NOT, BUT FOR TO STEAL, AND TO KILL, AND TO DESTROY…” (JOHN 10:10). The enemy does not fight fair, and he does not attack openly. He infiltrates quietly, through discouragement, sowing seeds of discord, distraction, disappointment, and deception, hoping you won’t notice the spiritual break‑in. Just as a criminal studies a home before attempting to enter, the enemy studies your patterns, your vulnerabilities, and your moments of weariness. His goal is to slip in unnoticed and dismantle what God has built in you. But his activity is illegal, unauthorized, and ultimately powerless against a believer who stands in spiritual authority.
In closing, remember that every unlawful activity of the enemy is already under the judgment of God. The enemy may attempt to destroy your peace, blindside your joy, and sabotage the fundamentals of your daily walk, but he cannot override the authority God has placed on your life. You are not unprotected, unguarded, or uncovered. You are strengthened, upheld, and secured by the power of God working in you. When you stand firm in the Word, stay vigilant in prayer, and refuse to give the enemy any place, every infiltration is exposed and every scheme collapses. Walk forward with confidence, knowing that heaven backs you, covers you, and fights for you.
“NO WEAPON THAT IS FORMED AGAINST THEE SHALL PROSPER; AND EVERY TONGUE THAT SHALL RISE AGAINST THEE IN JUDGMENT THOU SHALT CONDEMN. THIS IS THE HERITAGE OF THE SERVANTS OF THE LORD, AND THEIR RIGHTEOUSNESS IS OF ME, SAITH THE LORD.” — ISAIAH 54:17.
