#IAmThankful

ree

In a world that often magnifies what’s missing, gratitude is a sacred discipline that magnifies what remains. The question, “What are you thankful for?” is not just a prompt for reflection; it is a call to spiritual alignment. Scripture reminds us, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Giving thanks is not reserved for moments of abundance or ease. It is a command that transcends circumstance. It is the posture of a heart that trusts God’s sovereignty even when the path is unclear.

When we dedicate our lives to God and to the well-being of our families, we step into divine order. We begin to live not for self, but for purpose. We begin to see that every trial, every delay, every closed door is part of a greater orchestration. Romans 8:28 declares, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” This is not a casual promise, it is a covenant. It assures us that when our lives are surrendered to God, even the broken pieces will be used to build something beautiful.

So what are you thankful for? Are you thankful for the lessons learned in loss? For the strength gained in struggle? For the grace that met you in your lowest valley? Are you thankful for the family God gave you, not perfect, but present? For the calling on your life, not easy, but eternal? Gratitude opens our eyes to see God’s hand in places we once overlooked. It softens our hearts, strengthens our faith, and sanctifies our perspective.

Today, choose to give thanks, not just for what you have, but for who God is. Thank Him for His faithfulness, for His mercy, for His patience with you. Thank Him for the people He placed in your life, for the doors He opened, and even for the ones He closed. Thank Him because He is working all things together, not randomly, but redemptively. When you live a life of thanksgiving, you live a life of trust. And when you trust God, you walk in peace, power, and divine purpose.
