I CAN NO LONGER KEEP SILENT

Updated: 6 days ago

Remove the Tape, Your Voice Is Anointed to Speak

Psalm 81:10 “Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.”

Just a few days ago, I traveled out of state for a ministry engagement. I followed every instruction, email confirmations, text alerts, TSA protocols. I arrived early, passed through security, and waited quietly at the gate. When it was time for preboarding, I was in line, prepared and patient. But then, someone stepped in front of me and others, with a tone of entitlement and disregard. His words were sharp: “I belong here!”

In that moment, I could have remained silent. I could have swallowed the frustration and let the injustice pass. But the Spirit within me stirred. I spoke up, not with anger, but with clarity: “We are in line also.” Others found their courage too. And though the agents allowed him to board, the final outcome placed him at the back of the plane. Order was restored. Truth was heard. And dignity was defended.

This is not just about an airport. It’s about life. There are moments when your voice must rise, not in rebellion, but in righteousness. You are empowered by God to speak truth, to defend justice, and to declare life over every situation. Silence may feel safe, but it can also be stifling. Remove the tape. Speak.

“Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.” God doesn’t just permit your voice, He anoints it. He fills it with wisdom, grace, and power. When you speak healing, heaven responds. When you declare deliverance, chains break. When you speak unity, division trembles.

“...God...calleth those things which be not as though they were.” — Romans 4:17. You have the authority to speak what shall be, even when it is not yet. Speak peace over your home. Speak strength over your body. Speak clarity over confusion. Speak unity over your church, your workplace, your community.

And yes, even the Constitution affirms your liberty to speak. But heaven goes further: it commands you to speak life. As the old saying goes, “A closed mouth don’t get fed.” So open your mouth. Let God fill it. Let your voice be a vessel of truth, healing, and hope.

Let it be clear and bold: I will not be silenced. I am empowered by God to speak truth, to walk in divine authority, and to declare life. My voice is anointed. My words are filled with purpose. I speak boldly, and I make a difference.

The enemy of our souls has revealed his purpose “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10a). But God has made His plan clear “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10b). The enemy will do anything to keep us so entangled in issues that we lose the desire to worship and praise God through the battles we face.

Yet I implore you: fight against those feelings. Remove the tape that has kept you silent. Speak life. Speak truth. Speak out. Declare the Word of God over every situation that troubles you. When you do, faith will rise, and the atmosphere will shift.

Your voice is a weapon. Your praise is a breakthrough. Your declaration is a victory.

During the month of October is breast cancer awareness month, domestic violence month and clergy appreciation month. In this month if you feel it, speak out and get help, you will be glad you did. Remove the tape of doubt, fear and deception, and spek the Word of God over every phase of your life.

A Final Word: Speak, Heal, and Be Heard

During the month of October, we recognize three deeply meaningful observances:

  • Breast Cancer Awareness Month: honoring the fight, the survivors, and the strength to seek healing.

  • Domestic Violence Awareness Month: shining light on silent suffering and empowering voices to rise.

  • Clergy Appreciation Month: celebrating those who labor in word and doctrine, often in silence and sacrifice.

In this sacred season, if you feel it, speak out. If you’re hurting, get help. If you’re weary, reach for strength. You will be glad you did. God has not called you to suffer in silence, but to walk in truth, healing, and liberty.

Remove the tape of doubt, fear, and shame. Speak life over death. Speak healing over sickness. Speak deliverance over captivity. Speak! Speak! Speak!

“Open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.” Psalm 81:10

“...calleth those things which be not as though they were.” Romans 4:17

Even the Constitution of the United States grants liberty of free speech, which is given to all people. Remember, heaven gives you authority to speak with power. Use that liberty. Declare unity over your family, your church, your workplace, and every space in between.

As I’ve heard so many say: “A closed mouth don’t get fed.” So open your mouth. Let God fill it. Let your voice be the difference.
