BEGIN SOMEWHERE, WHERE? IN PRAYER.

Begin somewhere, begin in prayer. Not in perfection, nor in comfort, but in faith. Prayer is the sacred starting point for healing, freedom, and forward motion. It is where broken hearts find balm, weary minds find rest, and heavy spirits find lift. When situations in life seem too tangled to unravel, prayer cuts through the confusion with clarity and hope. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18).
We often wait until circumstances improve before we speak to God. But what if the breakthrough begins the moment we do? Wherever you are, in grief, in celebration, in uncertainty, begin. Begin on the floor of your struggle, in the depth of your disappointment, in the middle of your decision. Start with prayer and let God meet you in the moment. “Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).
Prayer transforms captivity into courage. The very things that hold us captive, fear, trauma, confusion, anxiety, lose their grip when we approach God in truth and trust. It’s not about long words or perfect timing; it's about surrender. “Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). Prayer realigns our mind, renews our body, and restores our spirit. It is the difference between surviving and thriving.
Prayer is movement. It invites God into our pause and pushes us toward purpose. Whether whispered in traffic or shouted in solitude, it shifts our atmosphere. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition… present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6).
So begin now. Begin uncertain. Begin tired. Begin joyful. Begin broken. Just begin. Let prayer saturate every action, intention, and conversation. Let it be your steering wheel, not your spare tire. You don’t have to be strong to pray; you just have to be willing.
Prayer changes things. Prayer makes the difference. And when you begin there, you’ll never end in the same place.
