Tr. Bishop

Mary L. Lebby

Assistant Bishop in North Carolina and Pastor of the church in Raleigh

About Tr. Bishop Lebby

Trial Bishop Mary L. Lebby was born on December 12, 1941, in Siler City, North Carolina. Her early years were marked by both hardship and divine guidance. After the passing of her mother at just seven years old, she relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, an unexpected transition that became the doorway to her lifelong spiritual journey. It was in Baltimore that she first encountered The House of God Church, Keith Dominion. Surrounded by the steadfast faith of her aunt, a devoted deacon, and her grandmother, a faithful member, she was nurtured in the beauty and discipline of true holiness.

At the age of nine, Trial Bishop Lebby received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost under the leadership of Elder Anabelle B. Sellar and Reverend Floyd Sellars, marking the beginning of a life wholly committed to God and His service.

Her educational path spanned both Siler City, NC, and Baltimore, MD. She graduated from Baltimore City Public Schools and continued her studies at The Community College of Baltimore, preparing herself academically for the work God would later entrust to her.

Trial Bishop Lebby’s ministry journey is rich and expansive. She served faithfully as Pastor of the 2660 Polk Street Band in Baltimore, Maryland, for 8.5 years. Her leadership extended further as she became the Presiding Elder of the Philadelphia and Bristol, Pennsylvania bands. For more than 25 years, she served as General Elder of both Baltimore, Maryland, and North Carolina, demonstrating unwavering dedication to the spiritual growth and stability of God’s people.

In 1995, Trial Bishop Lebby and her late husband, Elder Vernon Lebby, relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina. Following the passing of General Elder Leonard Moore, she was appointed General Elder of North Carolina and Pastor of the Raleigh band, a role she has faithfully fulfilled for 29 years. In 2012, through the grace of God and with the support of Bishop Clary K. Butler Sr., Present Chief Overseer; Bishop Rebecca W. Fletcher, the late Chief Overseer; and Deacon Alvin Fonville, a newly built sanctuary was dedicated in Raleigh, marking a historic milestone in her ministry.

Beyond the pulpit, Trial Bishop Lebby has been a pillar of compassion and community service. For nearly three decades, she has led yearly revivals, organized tent services, and provided food baskets for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas to families in need. Her outreach extends to supporting Girl Scout Troop 3300 in Southeast Raleigh, where her granddaughter is an active member. Her ministry is not confined to the church walls, she has consistently met the needs of the community with love, generosity, and a servant’s heart.

Trial Bishop Lebby is the proud mother of five children: Yvonne, Deone, Willard, Bradley, and Antoinette, and the blessed matriarch of 25 grandchildren and 15 great‑grandchildren.

Her favorite scripture, Galatians 6:7, declares: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” A guiding statement she often proclaims is, “I will not let anything separate me from the love of God.”

To many, she is a pastor, a mother, a grandmother, a mentor, and a cherished friend. Her life is a testament to endurance, holiness, and unwavering devotion to God and His people.

Reverend Dr.

D. Devon Griffin

Executive Officer: Executive Assistant & Personal Secretary to the Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Charlene M. Jamison.

About Dr. Griffin

Reverend Dr. D. Devon Griffin was born on February 23rd in Alachua, Florida, where his early years were shaped by a rich heritage of resilience, faith, and purposeful direction. Raised in a community that valued both spiritual grounding and intellectual curiosity, he developed a rare blend of technical skill, artistic creativity, and heartfelt compassion that would define his life’s journey. From an early age, Dr. Griffin displayed a natural aptitude for technology and design, an inquisitive mind that led him into the world of computer engineering, graphic design, and operational management. His ability to merge logic with creativity allowed him to excel in fields that demanded precision, innovation, and vision.

Yet even as he built a strong professional foundation, his heart remained deeply rooted in service. His calling to ministry expanded his impact far beyond the technical realm, guiding him into decades of church leadership, community outreach, and spiritual mentorship. Dr. Griffin’s commitment to service extended beyond the sanctuary, reaching families in their most vulnerable moments. Through compassionate support and dedicated work in funeral services, he walked alongside those experiencing grief, offering comfort, dignity, and strength during life’s most difficult transitions.

Dr. Griffin’s life stands as a testament to the power of integrating faith, skill, and service, bridging the worlds of technology, ministry, and community care with unwavering purpose. His journey reflects a deep belief that human potential is never confined to a single path, but is shaped by the courage to grow, to return, and to rise again after life’s inevitable challenges. He is often quoted as saying, “It no longer matters to me, and it should not matter to you, if one has stepped off the path of light and ventures into the dark woods of life and it's consequences. I emplore you, no longer judge them, but immeditely pray for them and in time, they will do as I and many others around the globe, follow the path of your prayers of light, back to the path of righteousness and the rest will be a Godly kind of history.” These words capture the heart of his ministry: a message rooted in restoration, compassion, and the enduring possibility of redemption.
