GREETINGS FROM JURISDICTIONAL PRELATE
CHARLENE M. JAMISON
Greetings Saints and Friends,
I am excited as we, the New Jersey Diocese, are preparing to experience a mighty move of God during our 2023 Sunday Bible School Convention. We have been fasting and praying that the power of the Holy Ghost will fill each session with miracles, signs and wonders. We pray that each attendee will receive the blessings that they are in need of. How grateful we are for the pioneers of the church, who sought for the truth, who found it, and who, under the direction of the Lord, brought the gospel to this area.
The diocese has grown steadily in over 80 years of spreading the Gospel message. It continues to change the lives of more and more people every year and to spread it across the earth as our missionary force seeks out those who are searching for the truth. Once again we call upon the body of Christ to reach out to the new converts and to those who are making their way back to the Church to reconnect with the unconditional love of Jesus Christ, for there is no place like home.
The YOUTH ENCOUNTER 2023, commonly known as the Sunday Bible School Convention, is designed to empower, equip and to motivate our youth (YFFU) and our Youth and Young Adults (YAA) to lead in the church, in the community and to reach their full potential by utilizing their gifts and abilities. Our goal is to inspire our youth to make the most of their abilities.
The theme prayerfully selected for this encounter by the New Jersey Diocese committee is, "I AM STILL GOD." Regardless of what we face, we must remember that our God has never stopped being able to heal, deliver and set us free.
During this encounter, my prayer is that each of you will experience the love of God in a more personal way. We know that everyone encounters something that has caused them to become weighted down with the cares of life. Regardless of how grave matters are, we must keep in mind that there is a God that will never leave us, nor forsake us. Hebrews 13:5, Is it not written, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.
On behalf of all of us within the Diocese of New Jersey, WELCOME!!!
For the cause of Christ,
Bishop Charlene M. Jamison
