Bible verses related to Prayer

Philippians 4:6 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

John 15:7 - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Mark 11:24 - Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].

1 Thessalonians 5:17 - Pray without ceasing.

Romans 8:26 - Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Matthew 6:6 - But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 6:7 - But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Luke 11:9 - And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 - I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men;

Jeremiah 33:3 - Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.Matthew 26:41 - Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.

1 Chronicles 4:10 - “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.”

* Whatever you need from the Lord is yours for the asking. Remember, prayer is the key and without the key, the door will remain locked. Communicate with God today, through prayer and watch God change the situations you face for the better. KEEP PRAYER ALIVE!!!

"I have been sick unto death, but I prayed and things changed for the better. Psalm 27:13-14 says it best, "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." M. Williams

Troubles and trials had me pressed to the point that I wanted to give up. Depression and suicidal thoughts plagued my mind daily. I knew that God loved me, but I felt so far from Him. Then I remembered the lessons taught to me by my grandmother, 'pray or become prey' - so I began to pray and commit my ways and confessions of faith to the Lord. I am here today, healed within and at peace with God, through His Holy Spirit.

Let prayer be your weapon for change."
